The fair of out-of-home consumption sectorhas drawn a great deal of attention!

" EDT EXPO- Out-of-Home Consumption Goods, Equipment, Consumables and Distribution Channel Suppliers Fair’ held at CNR EXPO-Istanbul for the first time between 28 and 31 March 2013, was swarmed by visitors. A total of 25,871 visitors from 55 countries including Turkey were established commercial dialogues with the participating companies at EDT Expo. The organisation was held in cooperation with Sine Fuarcılık and ETÜDER-Food Service Suppliers Association, under CNR Holding companies. "Expo EDT” held in CNR Expo-İstanbul, has been performed with a great success. The buyers participated from Middle East, North Africa, the Gulf States and Europe to the fair with a total area of ??20 thousand square meters, established business contacts with participating companies. Although the organization is organized for the first time the emerging work potential has pleased the participating firmsThe dishes sunk into oblivion have been revived!EDT EXPO was enlivened by various activities that the famous names known by the sector were participated in. On the first day of the fair, the conversation on “Dining Pleasure” with Ayhan Sicimoğlu was performed. The Ottoman Cuisine Contest organized by Food in Life Gastronomy publications sponsored by Sine Fuarcılık and ETÜDER at EDT Expo, has revealed the dishes that were sunk into oblivion and brought innovations to the Turkish cuisine. In the competition, the meals prepared by chefs of 5 star hotels were shown on beautiful Ottoman tables. The meals of chefs adapting the recipes of 15th century for today were evaluated by head of the jury members Vedat Basaran. The Conrad Hotel Istanbul took the first place in the competition that was awarded over the categories of "Best Menus", "Best Dining Table", "The Best Sorbet", "Jury’s Special Award" and "Honorable Mention / The Chief Taster". The Marmara Hotel Istanbul won the second place whereas the Hilton Hotel Istanbul won the third place.

Another activity drew interest within in the context of EDT Expo was a session on ‘Success Stories’ moderated by Mr. Melih Şahinöz- Chairman of ETÜDER. Each of the businessmen succeeded in their past, shared their secrets to success with the exhibitors and visitors. Chairman of Simit Sarayı (Bagel Palace)-Haluk Okutur, founding partner of Günaydın Et Restoranları-Cüneyt Asan who advanced from butchery to the ownership of a chain of restaurants, General Manager of Komagene-Cüneyt Tekdemir were the names speaking at seminars.
